Recorded & Produced at West Music Production Studios

We’re pleased to present Alchemize, the debut single by asha k, now available on Bandcamp and Odysee. The track was recorded and produced entirely at West Music Production Studios, with a clear focus on authenticity, sound quality, and musical presence.

Alchemize is built around the idea of transformation — capturing something raw and allowing it to evolve through performance rather than heavy construction. From the outset, the production approach prioritized real-time interaction, dynamics, and trust in the musicianship.

At the center of the recording is a one-take djembe performance by Martin Nielsen. The performance was captured without edits, emphasizing groove, timing, and the natural energy that emerges when a musician commits fully to the moment. This approach demands precision both from the performer and the recording environment, but it results in a sound that feels immediate and alive.

The production was handled by Henrik West at West Music Production Studios, with emphasis on:

  • High-resolution recording and clean signal paths

  • Preserving transient detail and natural dynamics

  • Minimal processing to maintain the instrument’s character

The visual accompaniment for Alchemize was filmed by Agus GE, whose imagery reinforces the organic and elemental nature of the track.
